As the safe zone becomes smaller over time, players meet each other, and battle each other using advantage of the loot found until one dies. Soon after the start of the match, the island is surrounded by the Red Zone, which shrinks periodically and steadily.

Surviv.io is one of my favourite multiplayer shooting games where you have to collect all the guns and ammunition items to defeat the other player. Players, called "survivrs", spawn on a random location on a randomly generated island, and scavenge for loot from different Crates and Buildings. Decrease crystals dropped by zombies, increase crystal mine production.

SURVIE IO FREE
Kongregate has announced that they would be shutting down Surviv.io on February 14, 2023. Surviv.io is a free online game provided by Lagged. From its inception in late 2017 to around early 2020, Surviv.io for the most part was at the top of its game. In addition, it shares many characteristics with other browser-based io battle royale games such as Foes.io, Zombsroyale.io, and Bruh.io. The Surviv.io that many of us knew is dead. The game can be played in any browser as well as on mobile. The gameplay mechanics are similar to other battle royale games such as PUBG, DayZ and Fortnite, although the game is more closely based of PUBG. The goal is to be the last player standing on the island.

It was released in October 2017 on its website for desktop browsers, 1 and in October and November 2018 respectively for iOS and Android devices. Surviv.io is a two-dimensional top-down battle royale game that was launched in October 2017 by Nick Clark and Justin Kim, then handed over to Kongregate (see Kongregate Acquisition).
